More About Jenny

My philosophy on therapy is simple in nature. Humbly, you are the expert of your own life. Together, using your personal strengths and my training, we will find ways to make sense of your life experiences and find the tools to help you navigate your present and future life path. With therapy, we can work collaboratively to lead your balanced and best life.

My passion and specialties lie in helping people with PTSD, trauma, complex trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, multiethnic relationship counseling, marital relationship counseling, blended family issues, parenting and co-parenting concerns, and LGBTQ issues. I also have extensive experience working with people struggling with major life adjustments, women’s issues, chronic pain management, job-related distress, pre-marital counseling, and divorce care.

Deciding whether or not to seek a therapist is a courageous decision. I feel finding a therapist who is a good fit plays an important role to achieve successful, therapeutic lifestyle changes. Everyone’s experience in therapy is uniquely theirs. I feel it is important to determine which therapeutic tools work best for a person to achieve their goals in therapy. For every person, I strive to provide a safe, ethical, professional, and nonjudgmental space for a positive therapy experience.

I would be honored to walk with you through this time of personal growth.

I see clients at our Edina location either in-office or virtually.

Clinical Approch

I am devoted to every client’s sense of safety and trust in our relationship, where they can experience genuineness, validation, hope and empowerment for change, healing, and renewal. I draw from various approaches to therapy, based upon what is optimal for each client’s goals. I see tremendous potential in each of my client’s and count it a sincere privilege to come alongside them in their life journey.

Hobbies

Spending time with my family, laughing as often as possible and growing personally are things I do when out of the office.  Fun and laughter are two things I cherish and strive to experience as often as possible.  Also, I am an ordained minister with 20 years’ experience as a Senior Pastor and Family Life Pastor. Thus, the on-going study and teaching of theology and psychology are fun endeavors for me.
