Rates and Insurance

One therapy hour consists of 50-55 minutes of face-to-face or virtual teletherapy time with your therapist. Please note that the rates at which insurance claims are processed may differ from our private pay rates.

Intake Session: $185.00/hour

Standard Session: $170.00/hour

Report Writing: $170.00/hour

Assessment Review: $170.00/hour

Late Cancellation/No-Show Fee: $90.00

Out-of-pocket payments are due at the end of each session. If you have a card on file with us, it will be billed automatically. We also accept the following forms of payment:

We conduct a thorough verification of benefits to determine the coverage available to you. However, each client is responsible for paying for services not covered by their insurance. We also encourage our clients to call their insurance companies to ensure coverage for therapy services.

For your insurance company to cover your therapy, your therapist will need to diagnose you with a specific mental health condition to demonstrate that the treatment is needed. Your insurance company will keep a record of this diagnosis and your treatment process.

If you choose to pay privately, your therapist is not required to diagnose you with a condition and your insurance company will not receive records of your therapy. Some clients prefer this greater flexibility and confidentiality.

All clients are expected to attend their sessions on time. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment, not including weekends. So, if you wish to cancel a Monday therapy session, you must do so by the appointment time on the prior Friday. You may cancel any appointment by calling our office or notifying your therapist directly via email or phone. If you have scheduled recurring appointments with your therapist, canceling an individual appointment will not affect your ongoing calendar. Please let us know if you wish to cancel all future appointments.

Failing to attend a session without providing at least 24 hours’ notice will result in a $90 fee. This will be charged to the credit card or other payment method you have left on file with us. The fee will still be charged if you reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Three or more cancellations within six months or two consecutive cancellations may result in termination of therapy. In the case of frequent cancellations, your therapist reserves the right to remove all standing appointments and restrict you to scheduling same-day appointments only.

We will make an exception to our policy in the case of a serious or contagious illness or emergency. Work related issues, hazardous weather conditions, and other unintentional situations do not constitute emergencies. If you cannot travel to our office due to weather, transportation issues, or similar circumstances, please contact your therapist to arrange for a remote telehealth session.

If you are receiving treatment from us through Medical Assistance, we cannot charge you or your insurance company for cancellations or no-shows. Therefore, three or more late cancellations within 6 months or two consecutive cancellations will result in immediate discharge and referral elsewhere for MA clients.
